{ قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ }

“Indeed successful is the one who became pure.”
This is the 14th Ayah of Surah al-A’ala (Chapter number 87 of the Holy Quran). We are taking its short explanation from Tafsir at-Tabari(جامع البیان عن تأویل آی القرآن) by summarizing it. “Indeed successful is the one who became pure.”
Imam Tabari says: Successful is the one who has made himself pure by avoiding “Kufr” (disbelief) and Allah’s “Disobedience”. And acted upon Allah’s command, fulfilled his/her duties. Tabari further says that Ibn al-Abbas said: It means “The one who gets purity from Shirk (Idoltary).
Hassan Basari says: It means, “The one whose action is pure”
Qatadah says: “The one who is pious”
Ikramah says: It means, “Tho one who said There is no God but Allah (means believing in one God)”
Imam Tabari says: Some interpreters have said, “It means to give charity from your money.”
It is narrated by Abu al-Ahwas: “When someone is about to go for Prayer (Salah) and a beggars appears at that time, then he/she should pay some charity, as Allah commands { قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّى}.
Imam Tabari says: Some interpreters have suggested that it’s the Zakah (Charity), which is given before the prayer of Eid al-Fitr. Abu al-‘Aliyah says, “Pay charity before eating on Eid day, because this is the Tazkiya (puring one’s self).To learn the Holy Quran online with experts, kindly contact us.

Inspirational and meaningful! 🌟
Thank you for sharing such a poignant reminder that true success lies in purifying the heart and grounding ourselves in spiritual growth. The way you tied the concept of purity to everyday actions and intentions was both profound and practical, especially in our fast-paced digital age.
I especially appreciated the emphasis on self-reflection—taking a moment to pause, evaluate our intentions, and realign our actions with our values. It’s a lesson that resonates deeply, and certainly one that can guide us toward greater inner peace.
A thoughtful thought to continue:
How might we preserve that purity of intention within our online learning environments? Perhaps by embedding moments of personal reflection or prayer into e‑learning sessions—turning educational achievements into spiritual milestones as well.
Thanks again for bringing such heartfelt guidance to your readers. May we strive daily toward the success of purity and integrity!
SubhanAllah, such a powerful reminder!
The emphasis on inner purification and spiritual success is something we all need to reflect on deeply. True success lies in cleansing the heart and aligning our actions with sincerity and taqwa.
JazakAllah Khair for sharing this beautiful reminder. May Allah grant us all the ability to purify ourselves and attain true success in this life and the hereafter. Ameen!
